7am kicked off with some audio issues and after some confusion was worked through, Jamie opened the show with guests Frank Coto and Christina Griffin. Frank is Jamie’s old co-host on the Real Estate Edition of That Business Show of which he turned over control to Frank and Frank morphed the show into the Business Happy Hour. His program airs Sunday mornings at 5am on 970WFLA and is available via live video stream on Friday at www.tbhh.tv from 12:30 to 1:30 pm. His show mixes in more political and entertainment talk into a similar format where they discuss business topics. Frank is also the President of Lincoln Lending Group where he works with buyers on all types of financing needs from traditional lending products to hard money / private funding sources as well. He has been in business over 15 years and is the preferred lender of The Griffin Group which is headed up by Christina Griffin. Christina is also a Realtor with Coldwell Banker and long-time associate of Jamie. Together they have sold well over 3000 properties and Christina ranked #52 this year on the Real Trends Wall Street Journal List for Top Realtors in the Country for team units sold. She has also opened up a new business line unrelated to Real Estate selling Lula Roe clothing. She discusses this on the program and the brand is just over a year old but is the fastest growing direct sales company in the United States. She was fortunate to be selected to be a distributor due to fierce demand from others wanting to be part of this growing trend. She found the product during her battle with Cancer and she states the comfort is unmatched with anything else she has ever worn. She explains that the prints are only produced in limited numbers and when you order a product, you are not sure which prints you may get. Jokingly, it’s like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re going to get. She has started a Facebook group which now has over 3000 members and to purchase the product and see them, she will have a booth at the upcoming Christmas in July on July 21st at TPepin Center. This is a signature TBBO event and tickets are $29 and $19 for members. Pick up tickets at www.tbbo.org/cij & be sure to visit www.lincolnlend.com for all your lending needs or call 813-Mortgage, where you drop the “e” and he drops the fee. No lender fees at Lincoln Lending Group and check out www.thegriffingroup.net for more on Christina Griffin!

At 8am, we kicked off #WorkingWomenWednesday with Jessica Rivelli, Founder of the networking group. We spoke of their event on July 14th at the Attic in Downtown Tampa called Women Making Waves in Tech which will feature panelists Karri Zaremba, COO of Venuetize, Susan O’Neal Gear, CEO of myNFO and Stephanie Davis who was our next guest on the program and Director of Enterprise Agility and Digital Product Leadership at Cox Target Media. Stephanie spoke on the topic of Agile, which is a set of practices and principles that guides ones development and problem solving. She is a Board Member of the Agile Alliance and the principles she talks about and the members she is associated with are tech related. 1/3 of all tech companies utilize Agile principles and Stephanie touches on some of these and also tells us how to related them to Real Estate. The principles apply to nearly anything so Jamie wanted to know how one would apply them to Real Estate. The Agile Alliance is a non-profit organization with global reach and membership and she serves as the organizaer for Tampa Bay Agile locally as well as board member for the Tampa Bay Technology Forum. The segment is fun and techy and can be a bit hard to understand for those who are just finding Agile as was Jamie. New terms never before discussed on #ThatBusinessShow showed up in this segment such as Scrum Master, extreme programming and the Agile Manifesto which outlines the principles. Stephanie writes a blog on Agile which can be found at www.iamagile.com!

On the 2nd part of the program, we spoke with Melissa Snively, Agent/Owner with State Farm Insurance and member of the Hillsborough County School Board. Melissa has worked in insurance for over 20 years and shares with us how she launched her business and how she and her husband work together so fluidly. State Farm is known for home and auto insurance but Melissa does dabble on other insurance needs. She has offices in Fishhawk Ranch and she was recently selected as a 2016 Woman of Distinction by the West Central Florida Girl Scouts for her leadership in the community. She is also the mother of 4 children and discusses how she balanced work and life together given all of her responsibilities. She is also a graduate of the Tampa Bay Public Leadership Institute in 2012 and is a past President of the Tampa Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors where under her leadership, the chapter earned the national Platinum Award of Excellence. Currently she is on the state board of directors for NAIFA-Florida as the Political Committee Chair. Visit www.melissarules.com for home / auto insurance or give her a call today at 813-662-3622!
