On the 2nd half of the show, I spoke with Debbie Lundberg, author of 9 books, and Principal of Presenting Powerfully. Debbie shares some great information on what it takes to be an effective presenter and reminds us that how we present is how we are remembered. In addition to being a regular speaker, Debbie also wears many hats including coaching/instructing other presenters, corporate & team learning events and personality/interest assessments as well as one on one life coaching. She shares with us some of the mistakes that presenters make, most commonly, not knowing their topic or having planned ahead enough and gives us guidance on how to avoid the pitfall of why things do not go as planned. She touches on the differences between motivation and inspiration as well as leadership versus management and we share a great discussion on the “slobification” of America. On her site, she has many great tips on how not to be a slob and you can even take a quiz to see how you rank on the slobification scale. Learn more at http://www.debbielundberg.com and contact her directly at 813-835-0196 or email at Debbie@debbielundberg.com for your next speaking engagement!
